The Institut de la Finance Durable works with the main financial federations <strong>(F\u00e9d\u00e9ration Bancaire Fran\u00e7aise, Association Fran\u00e7aise de la Gestion Financi\u00e8re, France Assureurs, France Invest, Association Fran\u00e7aise des Soci\u00e9t\u00e9s Financi\u00e8res)<\/strong>\u00a0to collect relevant data, divided into three categories: <strong>climate, fossil fuels and ESG<\/strong>. This means achieving a balance between greenhouse gas emissions and their absorption by carbon sinks. The goal of carbon neutrality only really makes sense on a global scale, so we talk about &#8216;contributing&#8217; to carbon neutrality at the level of governments, financial institutions and businesses in general<a href=\"https:\/\/librairie.ademe.fr\/changement-climatique-et-energie\/4524-avis-de-l-ademe-la-neutralite-carbone.html\"> (<\/a>March 2021 <a href=\"https:\/\/librairie.ademe.fr\/changement-climatique-et-energie\/4524-avis-de-l-ademe-la-neutralite-carbone.html\">note<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In order to contribute to carbon neutrality, the role of financial institutions can be broken down into three main objectives:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Reduce their financing of activities with high greenhouse gas emissions;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Support companies in their transition through engagement and dialogue;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Increase investment in activities considered to be low-carbon, and in those that enable the decarbonization of other activities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n            \t\t\t<div class=\"col-lg-6\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<!-- __TYPE__ \u00e0 rendre dynamique comme sur le composant 11 -->\n\t\t\t\t<!-- Le sous-titre n'est pas utilis\u00e9 dans la maquette contrairement au composant 11  -->\n\t\t\t\t<!-- Il y a un lien en plus si PDF -->\n\t\t\t\t                \t\t\t\t<div class=\"card-chiffre-cle bg-white fw-semibold p-2 border-2 border-bottom border-end border-actu\">\n                                        <div class=\"text-actu fs-30 mb-1 fw-bold\">1.5 \u00b0C<\/div>\n                    \t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The objective defined in the Paris Agreement at COP 21 is to limit global warming to well below 2\u00b0C, preferably 1.5\u00b0 by 2100, compared to pre-industrial levels. engagement<\/strong> through dialogue and voting policies with the issuers concerned, in order to encourage the transition from fossil fuels to low-carbon energies;<\/li>\n<li style='text-align: justify;'><strong>Implement a divestment and exclusion strategy<\/strong>, which consists of divesting from companies that emit or consume high-carbon energies in cases where shareholder engagement is
