Since 2018, the ‘Fintech for Tomorrow’ Challenge has been mobilizing the energies of French players in finance innovation to support the sustainable transition of the economy. Together with the Agence de la Transition Ecologique (ADEME) and the EIT Climate-KIC, Finance for Tomorrow rewards French and international start-ups that facilitate the financing of the ecological transition and reduce the environmental impact of the financial sector.
True drivers of innovation, fintech project leaders are important players capable of supporting the transition of the financial sector to achieve the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals and the Paris Agreements. They seek, for example, to produce high-quality extra-financial data, provide transparency on financial flows, or mobilize new sources of financing by involving private individuals. They are developing digital solutions, in particular tools dedicated to financial inclusion, which also position them as key partners for all financial and economic players, active in the sectors of ecological transition.
Furthermore, this year, by focusing on digital solutions with the capacity to support the evolution of professional practices, the Challenge approached the financial sector not only as a field of expertise, but also as a prospecting ground to support the emergence of new technological uses and processes.
We would like to extend our warmest thanks to all the promoters of promising Fintech projects, in France and abroad, and to all the players in the French ecosystem of innovation in finance, who are working alongside us to accelerate the financing of the ecological transition.
